Sijjin and Illiyyun in the Qur’aan
Qur’aan 41:40 concerning those who distort Allah’s revelations

Rashad Khalifa at one time started out on the right path but something happened to him which only Allah knows who has perfect knowledge of the unseen (al-ghayb).  Rashad Khalifa fell into spiritual darkness and descended into shirk.  Those who distort Allah’s revelations will face sever torment by Allah and the Angelic Beings:

This powerful verse delivers one of the most devastating indictments in the entire Qur’aan against those who distort the revelation of Allah: “Surely, those who distort Our revelations are not hidden from Us.” That verse is not speaking about innocent error, minor misunderstanding, or sincere struggle with interpretation. It is a warning directed at those who bend the signs of Allah away from their intended meaning, corrupt the revelation with false doctrine, manipulate Divine Law to fit personal theology, and then present those distortions to the people as if they came from Allah Himself. That is precisely why this verse stands as a fitting verdict over the Rashad Khalifa phenomenon. The evidence presented in the book you can download for FREE on this website entitled: THE KHALIFA CORRUPTION A FORENSIC EXPOSURE OF SHIRK, FALSE PROPHECY, AND THE HIJACKING OF THE 1989 QUR’AAN has shown that Rashad Khalifa did not merely offer unusual opinions or eccentric interpretations; he repeatedly altered the meanings of Allah’s revelations, inserted theological corruption that he tried to mask as part of the Qur’aan, and advanced claims that collapse under the weight of the Arabic text of the Qur’aan, the context of the verses, and the testimony of the Qur’aan against him.

Rashad Khalifa and the Submitters must be stopped!!!! This pagan idol worshiper proclaimed himself to be a Messenger of Allah, claiming that the Angelic Being Gabriel personally communicated with him and confirmed that he was the "Messenger of the Covenant." To this very day, the Submitters continue to teach that anyone who refuses to accept Rashad Khalifa as the "Messenger of the Covenant" is a disbeliever (kafir) and is thereby excluded from the fold of Islaam. According to their doctrine, rejecting Rashad Khalifa's self-proclaimed messengership is equivalent to rejecting the faith itself.  Rashad Khalifa further asserted that Allah had commissioned him to restore, purify, and authenticate the Scriptures.  To legitimize these extraordinary claims, Rashad Khalifa alleged that his soul left his body, journeyed through the universe, and that Allah introduced all of the Prophets to him. He also claimed that Allah revealed to him the exact year in which the world would end.  In addition, Rashad Khalifa injected his name into his 1989 translation of the Qur'aan that he produced and falsely declared that Allah had mathematically encoded his name within the Divine Revelation as proof of his alleged messengership. He also sought to corrupt Allah's Divine Dietary Laws by abolishing the Qur'aanic requirements that makes meat Lawful or Halal for Muslims to consume, while simultaneously teaching that pig fat or lard is Halal.

                                                                                            SIJJIN AND ILLIYYUN

Allah has preserved a mathematically precise record for every human being.  The wicked will be recorded in Sijjin and the righteous will be recorded in Illiyyun:

Qur’aanic verse describing the record of the wicked in Sijjin
Qur’aanic verse describing the record of the righteous in Illiyyun

Every human being will ultimately stand before Allah to answer for every belief, intention, word, and deed committed throughout earthly life. Nothing escapes the perfect knowledge of Allah, and nothing is omitted from His Divine record. The Holy Qur'aan declares that the records of the wicked are preserved in Sijjin, while the records of the righteous are preserved in Illiyyun. These are not random or incomplete records, nor are they subject to corruption, alteration, or error. Allah describes both as "a numerically structured book (distinctly and comprehensively) written," demonstrating that His recording of human accountability is complete, precise, and perfectly ordered. Every action, whether public or concealed, every act of obedience or rebellion, every act of evil or good, and every sincere intention or deliberate transgression has been recorded according to Allah's perfect knowledge and justice. Nothing will be forgotten, overlooked, or misplaced, for Allah is the Absolute Recorder whose knowledge encompasses all things.

The remarkable parallel between Sijjin and Illiyyun further reveals the perfection of Allah's justice. Although one contains the record of the wicked and the other the record of the righteous, Allah describes both with the identical expression: "a numerically structured book (distinctly and comprehensively) written." This demonstrates that His judgment is never arbitrary, emotional, or inconsistent. The same perfect precision by which Allah governs the galactic heavens, the planet earth, time, measure, mathematics, and creation also governs His judgment of mankind. Every reward will correspond perfectly to righteousness, and every punishment will correspond perfectly to wickedness. On the Day of Judgment, no one will be wronged in the least, because every verdict issued by Allah will be based upon a complete, comprehensive, and perfectly ordered record that bears witness against or in favor of every soul.

Rashad Khalifa's fitrah was put to the test, and he failed. Through his blasphemous claims, his commission of shirk, and his distortion of True Islaam, he chose a path of rebellion against Allah. On the Day of Resurrection, when all of mankind stands before the Creator Allah, and every soul is judged with perfect justice, Allah alone will render the final judgment (Qur’aan 28:70). It may be that Rashad Khalifa's name will be found recorded in Sijjin.

The lesson of Sijjin and Illiyyun extends far beyond the case of Rashad Khalifa. Every human being has been granted a fitrah and the ability to choose between guidance and misguidance. Every belief embraced, every word spoken, every deed performed, and every intention concealed within the heart is being preserved by Allah with absolute precision. No reputation, religious title, mathematical theory, scholarly position, or claim of divine authority will benefit anyone on the Day of Resurrection. Every soul will stand alone before the Creator, and the only standard that will matter is the truth revealed by Allah in the Holy Qur'aan.  Therefore, let every man and woman examine themselves before the Day arrives when no deception, excuse, or false claim will avail them. Strive to worship Allah alone, reject every form of shirk, and remain steadfast upon the guidance of the Qur'aan. Ask Allah to record your name among the righteous in Illiyyun and to protect you from the fate of those whose record is written in Sijjin. Indeed, Allah is the Most Just, the Perfect Judge, and to Him every soul shall return.

Every human being should ask Allah to record his or her name among the righteous in Illiyyun and to be spared from the fate of those whose record is written in Sijjin. For when the Day of Resurrection arrives, no wealth, status, lineage, or worldly accomplishment will matter. Only the record preserved by Allah will testify for you—or against you.  Indeed, Allah is the Most Just, the Perfect Judge, and to Him every soul shall return.
